Groundbreaking Ceremony For The Construction Of Masinde Muliro Stadium In Bungoma County.


Youth Affairs, Creative economy and Sports Cabinet Secretary Hon. Ababu Namwamba yesterday presided over the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Masinde Muliro Stadium in Bungoma county.

The CS was accompanied by a host of dignitaries including the Governor of Bungoma County Hon. Kenneth Lusaka, Sports PS Eng. Peter Tum, Sports Kenya Chairman Hon. Peter Gitau, Sports Kenya Director General Mr. Pius Metto and senior officers from Sports Kenya, among others.

The stadium is undergoing construction to expand its capacity in readiness to host diverse local and international sporting events. Additionally, the facility will host this year's edition of the Madaraka day celebrations slated for 1st June 2024.
